Assistance for members who participate in multicultural events, contribute to the White Horse community, and Japanese who have just arrived at Yukon, and interpreters for emergencies

Japanese Language School 日本語学校
Japanese Language School for Kids Whitehorse. This class is held once a week for the purpose of learning Japanese as an inherited language. Students learn how to read and write letters and about Japanese culture.

Playcare / プレイケア
A group for children that started to increase the chances of speaking and listening in Japanese with the aim of passing on Japanese culture to the next generation. It is also a place for parents to interact.
次世代への日本文化継承を目的とし、日本語で話す聴く機会を増やそうと始まった子供のためのグループ。両親達の交流の場にもなっています。

We perform on an as-needed and as-requested basis. We are always looking for new members!

Additional Programs / Translation
Japanese conversation class
Taught by a qualified instructor. Currently delivered online via Zoom. Different levels of classes can be set up.
English conversation class
Once a week, we create an opportunity to study English with a teacher. Membership fee is a donation.
Book Club
Books owned by JCAY (Japanese related, history related, etc.) or books owned by club members are lent and borrowed between club members.
